Company Auditions
Auditions for the DD&TA Companies will be held September 8th-10th.
*Make sure to read through requirements (links are at the bottom of this page) and estimated costs prior to trying out! Company contracts will need to be signed, and turned in, by BOTH the dancer and parent/guardian, PRIOR to tryouts!
THE CONTRACT WILL BE AVAILABLE PRIOR TO CLASSES BEGINNING ON AUGUST 24TH!! Make sure to thoroughly read and sign PRIOR to tryouts! ALL DANCERS WILL NEED TO HAVE TURNED IN A SIGNED CONTRACT TO BE PERMITTED TO TRYOUT!
Make sure to show up to these auditions stretched, if necessary, and ready to go! ALL Jazz/Ballet participants will begin with the ballet audition. Minis: Please wear jazz clothes, but make sure that you wear clothing that allows us to see your body lines. Junior/Teen/Senior: Please wear ballet clothes and change to jazz clothes after ballet portion has ended. Tap Dancers: anything goes, but please do not wear anything distracting and make sure your pants do not cover your feet in any way, if you wear pants. Tumblers: comfortable clothing you can tumble in that is not distracting. Finally: hair must be pulled back and away from the face for all auditions and a ballet bun must be worn for junior/teen/senior ballet auditions.
*Please be signed up and ready to go at least 10 minutes prior to the audition so that we can start promptly. You will not be allowed to enter the room if you are late.
JAZZ and BALLET are combined as one company per age group. TAP is a separate company per age group.
TUMBLING includes all ages of ADVANCED LEVELS!
Tuesday, September 8th:
*Arrive early! Get your name & birthdate on the tryout list, put your number on, warm-up, & practice!
4pm-5:30pm: Senior Tap Tryouts
5:45pm-6:30pm: Mini Hip Hop Tryouts
6:30pm-8pm:Teen & Senior Jazz/Ballet/Contemporary Tryouts (arrive fully warmed up, stretched, and dressed out for ballet (Girls: leotards, tights, hair in a bun. Boys: shorts which fully show your knees and a more fitted t-shirt or tank)!)
Wednesday, September 9th:
*Arrive early! Get your name & birthdate on the tryout list, put your number on, warm-up, & practice!
4pm-5:30pm: Mini Tap Tryouts
5:45pm-7pm: Mini Jazz/Ballet/Musical Theatre Tryouts (arrive fully warmed up & stretched! You do not need to be in ballet clothes for this tryout, but will do a ballet portion in your jazz clothes.)
7pm-7:45pm: Tumbling Company Tryouts
Thursday, September 10th:
*Arrive early! Get your name & birthdate on the tryout list, put your number on, warm-up, & practice!
4pm-5:30pm: Junior Tap Tryouts
5:50pm-7:20pm: Junior Jazz/Ballet/Contemporary Tryouts (arrive fully warmed up, stretched, and dressed out for ballet (Girls: leotards, tights, hair in a bun. Boys: shorts which fully show your knees and a more fitted t-shirt or tank)!)
*Results will be posted on September 11th
*Sunday, September 13th
6pm: Prop clean-out and unloading. Parents and company members, please come to help!
6:30pm: MANDATORY 2026-2027 CORE COMPANY MEMBERS’ AND PARENTS’ MEETING. Those on Tumbling Company ONLY, do not need to attend this meeting.
