DD&TA's Recreational Program
Registration for the
2011~2012 season is now closed!
The
Dynamic Dance & Tumbling Academy's recreational program is designed for children ages 3 to 18 years who enjoy dancing as a recreational activity.
These dancers enroll in the dance area(s) that interest them, and are committed to attending each area one day a week for
an hour. All classes will perform in at least one night of our annual recital, where friends and family are welcome to come
and be entertained by their dancer!

For the little ones ages 3
- 5 years, we offer combination classes.
The first, a tap/tumbling
combo, is once a week for an hour. The kids spend 30 minutes learning tap rudiments and are then moved to the gym, where they
finish with 30 minutes of basic tumbling. This class is perfect for the beginner, as we never stop moving!
The second class for little ones is Creative Movement. This 45 minute class combines
beginning ballet and jazz while moving creatively to music. This class is recommended for children who are 4 years old, or
have already had at least one year of dance classes.

For children ages 5 - 18 years, we offer Tap, Jazz, Ballet & Tumbling.
Tap students are taught tap rudiments and technique, as well as rhythm and timing skills.
Jazz
students are taught jazz technique as well as combinations set to up-beat music.
Ballet students learn ballet technique and
terminology. Class will normally be set to classical music. Often they will perform a lyrical dance in the recital, which
is set to a more popular music selection.
In Tumbling, students will learn skills from
forward rolls to back handsprings and aerials (tricks done without hands) depending on each child's individual abilities.
